For years, I put my career first, ahead of a lot of other things in my life. At times, I worked so much that I wasn’t able to take good care of myself. My meal timing was off and I was snacking on the wrong foods in the meantime. This, of course, caused me to gain weight. When a very demanding job came to an end in 2018, I decided to make a career change and get back to taking good care of myself through diet, exercise and sleep. I enrolled in an integrative nutrition course through The Institute of Integrative Nutrition. I now hold a Health Coaching Certification from IIN. By adopting low glycemic eating, I was able to lose 60 pounds in 26 weeks. I did this while working full time and studying for approximately 15 hours per week for a class. I am currently as slender as I was when I was in my twenties and it feels incredible.
Eating healthy doesn’t have to be expensive. It takes planning and organization and there are ways to keep it simple. Diets don’t work for a lot of different reasons, but making healthy lifestyle changes does work, because they put us on a new orbit of healthier habits that stick with us for the rest of our lives.

I work with a structured program called TLS Weight Loss Solutions, which is based on low-glycemic impact eating, supplementation and education. Low glycemic impact eating promotes cardiovascular health, helps maintain blood sugar levels, promotes hormonal balance, assists the body in burning fat, improves energy and reduces inflammation.
